Solomon Atepo is a climate finance and carbon markets specialist with close to a decade of experience in carbon project development, Article 6 implementation, climate policy, renewable energy, and Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Auditing. An Associate, he supports governments, designated authorities, and project developers on key developments on carbon markets, climate finance, mitigation action, and NDC implementation across Eastern Africa. His work combines technical advisory, stakeholder coordination, knowledge development, capacity building, and policy analysis to strengthen institutional readiness and practical implementation pathways for high-integrity carbon markets in both compliance and voluntary carbon market mechanisms. He holds a BSc in Forestry from Makerere University and an MBA from the University of the People.
