The RCC hosted with the EADB supports 19 countries in East and Southern Africa to realize the objectives of the UNFCCC, the Kyoto Protocol, and the Paris Agreement.  This is done through provision of hands-on support to governments, NGOs and the private sector in the region to develop their mitigation efforts through capacity building, direct technical assistance and strategic networking. In partnership with the Eastern Africa Alliance on Carbon Markets and Climate Finance (EAA), RCC Kampala contributes to building institutional capacity, supporting policy design, and fostering knowledge exchange to enhance the region’s readiness for Article 6 implementation and participation in international carbon markets. https://unfccc.int/about-us/regional-collaboration-centres/rcckampala
